The Roman Catholic Diocese of Galloway exists to serve the People of God in North, South and East Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway. The vision and mission of the Catholic Church in Galloway is the same for the Catholic Church Universal: to be a sign and instrument of communion with God and of unity among all people.

Sung evening prayer for Eastertide

Bishop Nolan will lead Sung Evening Prayer of the Church at 6pm on Sunday 26th April in St. Margaret's Cathedral, to continue our Easter celebrations. All very welcome.

Fourth Sunday of Easter (Year B)

This Sunday we listen to Christ, the Good Shepherd, as he reassures us of his care and providence for his people, scattered throughout the world. His loving concern covers this present life and extends, through his suffering and resurrection, to eternal life.

As we celebrate the paschal mysteries this Easter period, the Church calls us to reflect that Jesus is ever present, guiding, nourishing and protecting us from harm. As risen Lord, no longer within the confines of his human body, he is able to care for his sheep wherever they may wander. The love of God for us in Christ transcends space and time and is lavished upon us in sacraments, in his indwelling presence and in the community of his Church.
