Early in July 2009, 150 pilgrims, led by Bishop Cunningham, travelled together on the bi-annual diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes. All pilgrims - able-bodied, assisted, youth - took part in a full spiritual programme, assisted at the Eucharistic Procession and enjoyed a wonderful social life too - all in the space of just seven days. During our time in Lourdes two of our Galloway Lourdes Hospitalite members were honoured by the International Lourdes Hospitalite: Debbie Gillion (President) received her medal for five years service to the pilgrims in Lourdes, and Myriame Sammons made her Consecration - both at the Medal Mass presided over by the Right Reverend Jacques Perrier, Bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes. The next Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from July 4th to July 11th 2011.
